Without
“Without” is my second novel, and perhaps the easiest for a reader without a moderate experience in modern literature. Something of a science fiction crime story, it explores the predicament of a “brain scientist” who has been accused of murder. Convinced of his innocence, he undertakes an investigation into the futuristic methods which may have been used to frame him.
Conceptually, “Without” is derived from a specific philosophical structure predicating a continuum of concurrent realities, in which every possibility is realized. In other words, by making a choice one is moved into the reality of that choice, while one’s other “versions” who made other choices inhabit realities of their own. But will this help the character prove his innocence?
