MOLOTKOV'S
LITERARY PROJECTS
some of the world's poetry
the room was
silent for a while
then someone spoke
I noticed it was me
gravelly truths at
the edges of Your voice
time and distance
immobility
memory
like a frozen butterfly
as I sing to You
all ships will arrive
on schedule
in their correct ports
as I sing to You
there will be no mistakes
while I sing
the world will run as planned –
all of it,
with its suns
its black holes
its people
its dragons
its dragonflies
to draw a line
between the past and the future
and find out
that it’s not straight
where did I go?
how many other people
have I been?
brought my car
to a standstill
on a glacier
by the moonlight
at a 45 degree angle
I could hear
frozen angels sing
and if You tell me
that Your broken doll
is crying
in pain
in disbelief
at the cruelty
of life –
if You tell me this
who am I to doubt You?
I’ll be a doll doctor
for the rest of my days
