A stylistically unique non-opera
that ranges from multi-vocal a capella to free jazz. Main musical themes written by
, libretto by
A. Molotkov and S.B. Reda, based on their short story which bears the same title.
Based on our rather extensive experience, this non-opera has something to offer to a demanding listener. (Non-demanding listeners: skip this part!) Pamela Zeros vocal work is meticulous as she shifts between neo-classicism and progressive jazz chant. The text is surreal to the core. With this, and an imaginative STEREO mix, we believe that we have something that may add new angles to the genre of music.

Vocals: Pamela Zero
Spoken voice: S.B. Reda
Alto saxophone, bass clarinet: Zeppi Salerno
Guitar: Byron Rynes
Keyboards: Scott Mayfield
Bass: Tony Johnson
Drums, percussion: Jason Willard
Victim voices: Herb Heinz, Jackie Carpenter, A. Molotkov

Accidentally, "The Attack of the Absolute Zeros" proved to inspire a dramatic increase in the population of snails in the vicinity of Discord Aggregate's headquarters. If you like snails for dinner, you have an additional reason to get the CD! Indeed, snails have really good taste!
THE big surprise of 1997. From out of
nowhere, totally un-heard of, this artists
collective has produced the most
original album of the year. . . . Space
rock, free jazz, spoken words, true
weirdness, a surprising mix. Bravo!
You've probably heard little or nothing like Attack of the Absolute Zeros before. Its creators describe it as a "non-opera", and that's pretty apt -- while bearing some conceptual similarities to opera, it's about as close to your average Puccini work as a nuclear explosion is to a candle flame.

Something like this could only come from San Francisco. Okay, maybe New York's Knitting Factory scene too. What we have here is an elaborate concept piece ... probably unlike anything you've heard before.
